I BUILD WIRE SPOKED WHEELS
Whether it’s restoring the wheels on your classic, repairing damage or building something bespoke.

I can build the wheels for you once you have refinished the hubs yourself using your supplied parts or I can refurbish your hubs and rims by Painting, Powder coating, Cerakote or Polishing them. I can supply stainless or galvanised, single gauge, single or double butted spokes and a wide range of rims.

If you are going to dismantle your wheels yourself to refurbish them it is important that you take a few simple measurements first. It is important to ensure these measurements are accurate as your wheels will be built using these, alternatively bring me your wheels before dismantling so that I can take these measurements.

How to measure rim offset
Measuring a Wheel
Measuring a Wheel
Vernier Calliper measuring width of a wheel
Step 1
Lay your wheel on a flat surface with the brake side of the hub facing upwards if twin discs please note which side the measurement is taken from.
Step 2
Lay a straight edge across the surface of the hub and measure down to the outside edge of the rim.
Step 3
If the rim is higher than the hub ensure the straight edge lays across both sides of the rim and measure the gap between the straight edge and the hub.
Step 4
Take the measurement in at least three different places.
Step 5
Measure the outer width of the rim.
Step 6
Save one inner and one outer spoke from each side of the wheel, if they have to be cut use as fine a blade as possible and just tape both pieces together, mark which spoke comes from which location.
